Alvin Lim is the CEO and Co-founder of Climate Bridge International, where he leads the international business for Climate Bridge Group, one of China's largest carbon project developers with over 500 projects developed since 2006. He was formerly the Head of Asia Environmental Products at Morgan Stanley, overseeing the development of the environmental products franchise. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of the Enterprise Strategy team at GIC (Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund), where he advanced sustainable investing initiatives and authored several white papers on the role of carbon markets for asset owners.
Alvin is a member of the Expert Advisory Group of the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) and a Senior Fellow at the National University of Singapore Centre for Governance and Sustainability. He also contributed to the Singapore Government’s Emerging Stronger Taskforce sustainability working group, which recommended the establishment of a carbon trading and services hub in Singapore.
He holds a Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore. Alvin is a CFA and CMT charter holder, and a SASB FSA credential holder.
Tan Chin Hwee is a seasoned investment professional with a distinguished career spanning over two decades across global financial markets. He is currently the Chairman of several public organizations including, SGTradex, the Energy Resilience Advisory Panel at the Energy Market Authority of Singapore, the Centre for Future of Trade and Investments at the Singapore Business Federation, the Finance and Investment Committee at the Jurong Town Corporation, and is on the Board of Trustee at the Nanyang Technological University. Chin Hwee was formerly the Asia-Pacific CEO at Trafigura where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s regional presence and driving strategic investments. Before joining Trafigura, he was a founding partner in Asia for Apollo Global Management, where he led private equity and credit investments. Chin Hwee began his career at DBS and subsequently held senior roles at Amaranth Advisors and Keppel Corporation.
Recognised for his expertise in risk management and distressed assets, he is a CFA charterholder and a published author on finance and leadership. Chin Hwee completed a postgraduate course at Harvard Kennedy School, holds an MBA from Yale School of Management and a BAcc from Nanyang TechnologicalUniversity.
Zemin Zhang is the Co-founder and Chairman of Climate Bridge Group, bringing over 19 years of expertise in carbon markets. Under his leadership, the firm has successfully navigated the complexities of the CDM, VCM, and CCER eras, establishing itself as a pioneer in sustainable finance and carbon offset solutions. Zemin’s strategic vision has been instrumental in scaling Climate Bridge’s impact, fostering partnerships across Asia and beyond. Known for his deep understanding of environmental markets and regulatory frameworks, he has advised on numerous projects that advance carbon neutrality goals.
Zemin holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and continues to advocate for innovative pathways to a low-carbon economy through both policy and market-based solutions.
Gao brings over 18 years of experience in carbon markets and project development. He joined Climate Bridge in 2007, beginning his carbon career in project documentation before leading the project origination department, where he successfully executed over 200 carbon transactions.
Appointed CEO in 2018, he spearheaded the joint venture with Shell from its inception in 2020 and which has now become fully owned by Climate Bridge. Under his leadership, the firm has expanded into a leading provider of carbon project development and neutrality solutions across global markets.
He holds an MBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and a Master’s from Tongji University.
