Registration and Issuance of the First Plastic Recycling and Carbon Reduction Project in China

       Climate Bridge recently marked a significant achievement by completing the registration and issuance of China's inaugural plastic recycling and carbon reduction project.

       Constructed by Yizheng Zhongxing Environmental Protection Technology, the initiative transforms PET plastic bottle sheets waste into recycled polyester chips. This serves to repurpose waste for sustainable use.

       Our participation in this project saw us provide end-to-end tracking services, covering aspects like project report drafting, registration, verification, emission reduction issuance, and sales. The project's success is highlighted by its emission reduction of 49,582 tons during the initial monitoring period. By adopting these sustainable practices, Yizheng Zhongxing not only contributes positively to environmental conservation, but also receives the benefits of carbon emission reductions – fostering both societal and economic growth.

       China's vision for the upcoming years is centered on the advanced utilization of waste plastics, emphasizing innovations in waste plastic modification, waste plastic recycling pollution control, and specialized equipment. The ambition is to establish leading enterprises with production capacities surpassing 200,000 tons annually. There is also a focus on advancing technologies for the efficient production of waste bottles and promoting the recycling of waste textiles and bottles into a myriad of products, ranging from recycled yarn to automotive interior materials.
